Piastri: Turn 1 "argy-bargy" helped me
After reeling off a move on Antonelli, Piastri immediately got himself onto Verstappen's tail. He had to be patient to get past but, when he did, there was no looking back.

Piastri admitted he struggled a bit on the hard tyres versus Norris, but had enough in reserve to complete the job.
Oscar Piastri: "I won the race I wanted to, so yesterday was a tricky day, the sprint was what it was, but qualifying was one of my trickiest sessions of the year. To come away with a win on Sunday is an impressive result.
"Bit of argy-bargy at Turn 1 which helped me, I was aware enough to avoid Max coming through at Turn 1, but I had a good pace advantage.
"I think the first stint was really strong. On the hard stint I was really struggling, so it's good I built that gap up in the first stint. But it started to come back to me towards the end.
"I remember two years ago in Miami we were genuinely the slowest team, I think we got lapped twice. To now have won the grand prix by over 35s to third is an unbelievable result. That's the hard work of everybody."
Norris second after Turn 1 skirmish with Verstappen
After finding himself on the run-off on lap 1, Norris had to make a recovery, passing Albon and the two Mercedes drivers to get back into contention.

He got dropped by Piastri while trying to pass Verstappen, and admitted it hurt not to win in Miami.
Lando Norris: "It's never the best feeling, but the team did an amazing job so can't fault them. Oscar drove well, Max put up a good fight, and I just paid the price.
"What can I say? If I don't go for it, people complain, if I go for it, people complain. With Max it's crash or don't pass, and I just had to get him in the right position."
Russell takes third - albeit 33s behind Norris
After pitting under the virtual safety car, Russell leapfrogged team-mate Antonelli and rival Verstappen to get the final place on the podium.
But he was so far behind the McLarens that it took him a very long time to get back to parc ferme...

Russell, speaking to Jenson Button: "Yeah, I'm really happy to come away with P3 as I've been struggling this weekend personally. The McLarens were well down the road.
"I was pretty calm and felt good within the car to keep [Verstappen] behind me. I think Lando's upset with me because I hurt his leg in the Lego race!"
Tsunoda also hangs on to 10th BY a tenth over Hadjar, doing just enough to serve his pitlane speeding penalty.
Replay very much shows Sainz lunging on Hamilton, and complains Hamilton moved under braking. I don't think that's holding up in court...
George Russell clinches third place, pouncing on the virtual safety car to overcome Verstappen to collect a podium.
Albon clinches an excellent fifth despite a water pressure issue, as Antonelli is 1.5s ahead of Leclerc.
Huge scuffle between Hamilton and Sainz at the final corner, as the two touch and lock horns over eighth! Hamilton just hangs on.
Oscar Piastri wins the 2025 F1 Miami Grand Prix
Piastri crosses the line to secure victory in Miami, 4.6s clear of Lando Norris! Now, we wait for a while - the McLarens dropped Russell considerably.
Lap 56
The battle for the last point is hotting up; Hadjar is just a tenth outside of the five seconds he needs to benefit from Tsunoda's penalty.
Piastri's continued to forge a lead over Norris, so he's effectively locked this down.
Lap 55
Verstappen is asked to make sure he's within five seconds of Russell, just in case the Mercedes gets some kind of penalty. He's 2.6s behind.
Lap 54
Piastri puts a tenth or two onto his lead just to ensure there's little chance of Norris closing him down.
Verstappen loses a second to Russell over this lap, which seems to be off his own back; Albon is now 8.4s behind having been over 9s behind earlier on.
Leclerc's cut the gap to Antonelli, and is 2s behind the Italian. He's also dropped Hamilton.
Lap 53
"Sainz 1.4s behind," Hamilton is told. "You want to let him past as well?", comes a riposte drenched in sarcasm.
Norris is 3.5s behind Piastri, in the meantime. Russell's another lightyear behind, while Verstappen has lost a little bit of time too.
Lap 52
"We will try again next lap," Leclerc says, "We can see Antonelli." Nonetheless, Hamilton allows Leclerc through at Turn 11, which will give the Monegasque a chance to close Antonelli down. There's about 3s to cover in the final five laps.
Lap 51
The Ferraris have been asked to swap back to give Leclerc a chance of catching Antonelli. Hamilton will want to do it at a place where there's no danger of ceding a place to Sainz.
Hadjar's now closed the gap back to Tsunoda, getting to 4.9s to contend for that final point.
Lap 50
The lead is under four seconds now, Norris is continuing to find time on his team-mate. It'll be very surprising if he manages to close in, however - Piastri's just keeping enough of a vigil.
Leclerc's complaining that he's now overheating, as engineer Bryan Bozzi asks if he could go faster in clean air.
Lap 49
Leclerc's keeping tabs on Hamilton, but he's still not quite able to find enough of an opportunity to make the move.
Verstappen's closed up to Russell again slightly, as he makes a final play for a podium position.
Lap 48
Now, it's down to 4.0s out front - although McLaren believes Piastri is just managing his pace at the minute.
Verstappen's backed off from Russell and is now 2s behind the Mercedes.
Lap 47
Piastri is still losing a bit of time, and Norris is now within 4.5s of his team-mate. Russell's almost 30s behind the McLarens, which rather paints the picture.
Hamilton is 3.5s behind Antonelli, while Leclerc is displeased that his tyres are overheating behind his team-mate.
Lap 46
Leclerc has just fallen out of Hamilton's DRS slightly, but gets back in for the start of Lap 47.
Tsunoda penalty watch 2: He's got a 5.4s advantage over Hadjar, so he's in the safe zone for now.
Lap 45
Piastri's losing a bit of time in lapped traffic - now the gap is 4.9s.
Verstappen is still 1.5s off Russell, as Albon's almost 10s behind the pair. Still, the Williams driver is stretching the gap over Antonelli, who's slowly being reeled in by Hamilton.
Lap 44
Piastri is 5.7s ahead of Norris now - the gap is, slowly, coming down at the front. At this rate, Norris will run out of time, but he's having a go isn't he?
Leclerc's having some cockpit padding trouble, which he feels is uncomfortable, but he's still in DRS range of Hamilton. Sainz is just about clinging onto the two.
Lap 43
Verstappen's closing in on Russell - naturally, Russell's not going to want to give any quarter, as the two are prone to getting in each others' grills.
Leclerc's back within DRS range of Hamilton now, so that Ferrari move probably ended up coming too late. Still, Hamilton is at least closing Antonelli down, and is now within 4s.
Lap 42
Tsunoda penalty watch: he's got 4.5s on Hadjar, so needs to find a bit more if he's going to keep hold of P10.
Leclerc was 0.1s quicker than Hamilton at the end of the lap, which suggests the mediums are on the way down.
Lap 41
Piastri is 6.5s clear of Norris. Russell's now 25s behind them, and Verstappen's starting to re-catch the Mercedes driver as it seems the softs aren't in great nick on the W16.
Antonelli, meanwhile, is losing time to Albon once more and Hamilton's got to within 4.5s of the 18-year-old.
Sainz has been noted for a possible yellow flag infringement.
Lap 40
Hamilton is now within 5s of Antonelli now, so it's vindicating his decision to ask for the switch, bringing up the swap in China as a bargaining chip - which worked, it seemed.
Lap 39
Piastri has managed to stabilise again, keeping the lead at 6.8s for the time being. Both McLarens are in the 1m30.1s times, everyone else is in the 1m31s...
Lap 38
"This is not good team work, that's all I'm gonna say," Hamilton says. They finally switch places, and Hamilton can now chase after Antonelli.
This might leave Leclerc vulnerable to Sainz, however. Let's see how this plays out.
Lap 37
Norris has closed the lead to 6.6s as it stands, and still very much wants to win this. The two McLarens have dropped Russell by 21s now.
Hamilton is still angling for the move, asking "you want me to sit here for the whole race?". Leclerc is losing time to Antonelli, but Hamilton might have to do the move himself.
"Want to keep the DRS to Charles," Hamilton is told, but doesn't love that idea. Presumably, Ferrari is aiming to keep Sainz behind rather than chase Antonelli...
Lap 36
"I'm just burning up my tyres behind him," Hamilton says, who's hoping to be let past by Leclerc.
Leclerc is 5.6s behind sixth-placed Antonelli, and Hamilton wants to fill that space and chase his Mercedes successor.
Lap 35
We've not checked what's happening at the front in a while. Piastri is 7.3s ahead of Norris, who in turn is 18s clear of Russell. Verstappen is 3.2s behind the Briton, and his attempts to dob him in for not lifting appear to have to come to nothing.
Lap 34
Sainz has both Ferraris on his tail, as the VSC stops for him on the run to Turn 17. This leaves them side-by-side on the run to Turn 1 and the two go slightly off-line - which lets Hamilton nip past and try to dispatch both!
Leclerc hangs on, but Hamilton does indeed clear Sainz - a lovely move there.
Lap 33
Virtual safety car for Gabriel Bortoleto, who pulls off the road with power unit concerns. The Sauber driver hasn't had much luck in his opening six races of his F1 career.
"Check if George lifted, it was a yellow," Verstappen says on the radio. He's driving someone else's race too - Alonso-esque!
Lap 32
Hamilton is looking lively on the mediums, and has managed to wind Leclerc and Sainz in.
Tsunoda appeared to lock up into the pitlane, hence the speeding penalty.
5 second penalty for Tsunoda
The Red Bull driver gets officially pinged for speeding in the pitlane - he'll have to get his skates on if he wants to score points today.
Lap 31
Albon snatches fifth from Antonelli, forcing the Italian to go too deep into Turn 1 and the Williams driver gets past. Simultaneously, Sainz dives past Leclerc to grab seventh. He's having to defend from his former team-mate.
Tsunoda's under investigation for speeding in the pitlane.
Lap 30
Russell has indeed pulled clear of Verstappen, so that was a nice bit of timing for the Mercedes squad.
Bortoleto complains that his power unit is dying, as we get a replay of Bearman's PU making its last will and testament out of the tailpipe.
Lap 29
Piastri and Norris stop, as the VSC continues. Both McLaren drivers get their service, as Russell also switches to the mediums, and Leclerc will also stop. Cheap stops for the four of them, and Russell gets out ahead of Verstappen!
Lap 28
Bearman's off the road in his battle with Gasly, and it looks like it might be terminal - the Haas driver is trundling around somewhat slowly. It's a VSC as he stops on-track.
Hamilton does a stop, which brings him out ahead of Tsunoda in the order.
Lap 27
McLaren continues to go long, with no real need to cover off Verstappen - who passes the yet-to-stop Hamilton. Tsunoda stops for the hard compound.
Lap 26
Verstappen indeed responds to Antonelli, and collects the hards. Albon also stops, which puts him right on Antonelli's tail thanks to the Mercedes driver's pitlane delay.
